Handing out awards to ESL students at assembly (Service)

(LO1) Developed my strength of being capable of standing in front of a crowd. Better my ability to have enough confidence to be in front of an assembly and hand people their certificates.

(LO2) Me and the other 2 people who had chosen to also help give out the certificates at assembly had all met up with Mr. Berry the ESL teacher to plan who would give out the certificates and when we would give them out during assembly

(LO3) The reason why I chose to do this service was because I knew it would make the kids happy and more comfortable to be on stage and accept this award if it is given by a fellow student

(LO4) The challenge was to read the students real names correctly and also to recognize which students were which. It was scary to be standing in front of the entire assembly but now I feel like in the future, I would be comfortable standing in front of a crowd again.

(LO5) I had consider quitting and not doing this service as I did not really want to be standing in front of everyone as I was scared I would mess up the name of the students as well. However, I felt guilty because I had already given my word that I would do this for Mr. Berry and I needed to commit to my services.

(LO2) Another challenge was the knowledge section of the exam where we had to choose a practitioner to learn about and be tested on. I chose Constantin Stanislavski as I remembered his acting techniques from researching about him during my Igcses. The lamda examiner questioned me about how Stanislavski turned realism to naturalism withn acting and what were his teachings. (LO3) The perseverance part was the hardest as I would struggle to split my time between homework, school work and revision that I usually do during my free periods that would be re...
