Baking Cupcakes For My Family - Activity

It was Thursday night when I just finished my homework and realized that my family, especially my dad loves baked goods. I remembered that I have not baked in over a year as every time I did bake in the past, the results were disastrous, either too sweet or too burnt. However, I decided I was going to try to bake this for my family and try my hardest. By trying to film myself while mixing the batter, I ended up spilling it out of the bowl. I felt tired and as though I was never going to be able to bake correctly on my own. (LO1) I thought to myself that I should try again and make another batter because I was committed to trying to bake these cupcakes knowing they would make my family happy.
(LO2) I know that I am good at mixing the batter, measuring the ingredients needed and preparing to put them into the oven but my weakness is ensuring that I put the timer correctly for the baking part, so that my cupcakes don't burn like they've done before every time I have baked them on my own. This time I continuously checked on my cupcakes every 10 minutes and put a tooth pick through them to see if they were cooked or not, in the end they were cooked perfectly and I felt like I gained  a new skill.
(LO3) Although it was a challenge, I felt really happy and proud of myself when I managed to make a good batch of cupcakes for my family especially when I saw how happy they looked when they tried them, it made the challenge I undertook worth it.
(LO4) My skills in baking has developed by doing this activity and I would like to bake again soon and more often as it is very enjoyable.

(LO1)  I'm able to memorize monologues very quickly so it eliminates one of the many hard obstacles of the exam. However, what I need to develop is the range of emotions for each character as there are 3 exams so that I do not end up having the same emotion in each monologue. (LO2) Another challenge was the knowledge section of the exam where we had to choose a practitioner to learn about and be tested on. I chose Constantin Stanislavski as I remembered his acting techniques from researching about him during my Igcses. The lamda examiner questioned me about how Stanislavski turned realism to naturalism withn acting and what were his teachings. (LO3) The perseverance part was the hardest as I would struggle to split my time between homework, school work and revision that I usually do during my free periods that would be re...
