Creating a poster for the Hand to Hand foundation (collecting sweets) - Creativity

For Christmas, our school had the brilliant idea of making Christmas boxes for the children in the hand to hand foundation. So they could be getting presents for Christmas just like us. Within the Christmas boxes there were snacks, sweets, shampoos and ...
Me, Mara and Marina had to design a poster for the Year 6 and IBs to collect the sweets. Then we had to go to the registration rooms to collect those items, I ended up collecting other items for the boxes too. (LO1) This has enabled me to be able to talk more freely in front of a room full of people of different ages as well. (LO2) The challenges were people continuously forgetting to bring the items to school so me and my friends had to keep reminding students everyday to bring the items. (LO3) Working with my friends has been a bit tough at the beginning as we all had different opinions as to how the poster should look like but in the end, we all worked together to compromise and we were able to agree on this poster. (LO4) In terms of ethical implications, the Christmas boxes taught students in our school about the importance of sharing your fortune with those less fortunate. (LO5) I developed a new skill which is designing and it will be useful for me in the future as I am learning DT in IB and also business so designing posters gave me an idea of what affects advertisements have on people and how you view something.

I chose Constantin Stanislavski as I remembered his acting techniques from researching about him during my Igcses. The lamda examiner questioned me about how Stanislavski turned realism to naturalism withn acting and what were his teachings. (LO3) The perseverance part was the hardest as I would struggle to split my time between homework, school work and revision that I usually do during my free periods that would be re...
